Eligibility for the Welcome Offer is limited to personal banking clients who:
- Do not have a personal bank account at Laurentian Bank of Canada (the “Bank”) at the time of the launch of this offeror during the 12-month period preceding the launch of this offer;
- Open their first chequing account with the Bank by October 31,2022;
- Have a tax residence status in Canada;
- Who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence; and
- Comply with the terms and conditions herein.
For the purpose of this offer, the eligible personal account refers only to the Chequing Account (category 7).
Promotional period: Refers to the period beginning on May 2 and ending on October 31, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. (EDT)
Reward: Refers to the amount below credited to your eligible personal Chequing Account if you meet all this offer’s eligibility criteria and terms and conditions:
- $300 if you set up an automatic and periodic direct deposit of your pay or pension benefits to the eligible personal bank account; and
- set up pre-authorized payments (PAPs)1 and/or bill payments from your eligible personal account for a minimum of two payments.
- A pre-authorized payment is a withdrawal transaction initiated by a participating merchant to whom you have given permission to periodically or occasionally withdraw an amount from your account for the payment of utility bills and dues. Excluded are payments to another financial institution for mortgage payments, insurance premiums, etc.
After opening your eligible personal account, you have 45 days to comply with all of the offer’s terms and conditions to earn the reward.
The reward will be deposited into the eligible personal Chequing Account within three months of meeting all of the offer’s eligibility criteria and terms and conditions. Customers are only entitled to one reward deposited into the Chequing Account.
You must keep your eligible personal account open and in good standing, as well as the products and services established under this offer (direct deposit of pay or pension benefits, pre-authorized payments (PAPs) and/or bill payments for a minimum of two payments) for a period of at least twelve (12) months after opening your eligible personal account. Direct deposits must be a minimum of $450 per month.
If you received the reward, but closed your eligible personal account, or no longer meet one of the offer’s eligibility criteria or terms and conditions, the Bank reserves the right to debit, without notice, the amount of the reward received from your eligible personal account or any other account you hold at the Bank. If you close the eligible personal chequing account, but do not have any other accounts with the Bank, the Bank reserves the right to send you an invoice in the amount of the reward received, payable within 30 days of the postmark.
Primary holder: Refers to the person designated by the Bank as the primary holder in the case of an eligible joint personal account. Only the primary holder is entitled to receive the reward. This offer is limited to one reward per customer, regardless of the number of accounts he/she has opened or will open during the promotional period.
Employees of the Bank and its subsidiaries are not eligible for this offer. However, if the eligible personal account is opened jointly by an employee of the Bank and an eligible individual, the reward may be paid to the eligible individual if he/she meets all of the offer’s terms and conditions and is the designated primary account holder.
If you believe you were eligible for this promotional offer and met all of the terms and conditions, but didn’t receive the reward, you have until December 30, 2022, inclusively, to notify the Bank. Notices received after this date will not be accepted and you will be deemed ineligible for this offer.

The promotional offer and these terms and conditions do not affect, in any way, the administration or other fees associated with managing the Bank’s personal accounts, which will continue to apply.
The promotional offer may not be combined with any other offer, benefit or privilege of any of the Bank’s personal accounts.

The Bank reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend, limit or revoke the promotional offer for any person or account holder that it believes has manipulated the process, fairness, integrity or operation of the promotional offer or misuses it, including, in its sole opinion, any customer whose general relationship with it is not in good standing.
