Consent Regarding the Electronic Delivery of Certain Documents

Recent amendments to the Bank Act require us to obtain your consent before electronically delivering to you any notices and other documents required by law. Depending on the products that you currently hold or may choose to hold in the future, the following documents will be sent to you electronically:

  • Line of credit
    • Monthly statement
  • Credit card  
    • Monthly statement
    • Amendments to the user agreement
  • Personal loan – Annual notice
  • Variable rate mortgage loan
    • Annual notice
  • Personal account
    • Notice of fee changes
    • Notice of interest rate changes

Other documents may also be sent to you electronically. Please note that these documents will be available in your epost mailbox for a maximum of seven years and that you are responsible for keeping copies of these records.

By clicking “I agree” below, you designate the LBCDirect portal and the email address associated with your account as the online communication means for receiving chosen electronic documents. In addition, upon agreeing, you certify that you have read and understood the terms and conditions herein and agree to be bound by them. Your consent shall thereby take effect immediately.

We reserve the right to send documents in a paper form should we be unable to send them electronically, if we have a reason to believe you have not received said documents or in any other circumstance where the Bank feels it is appropriate to do so.

However, if you no longer wish to receive documents electronically through your epost mailbox, or if you wish to update the email associated with your account, please contact the Laurentian Bank:

  • by phone by dialling 514-252-1846 (or toll-free at 1-800-252-1846); or
  • via the LBCDirect Internet portal, under section CLIENT FILE; or
  • at your Laurentian Bank branch.

Upon notification to cease electronic delivery, the Bank will send your documents by regular mail and Laurentian Bank electronic documents will no longer be available via epost services.
